How To Become a Field Investigator ~~~ The position of Florida Field Investigator is open to all members in good standing who hold a practical knowledge in both potential UFO and IFO (Identifiable flying objects) reports from the public. This knowlege is gained by individual study and thorough grounding in the areas of investigative ethics, interviewing methods, witness credibility, and technical backgtround. These applications are included in the MUFON Field Investigators Manual. MESSAGE FROM DENISE STONER, CHIEF INVESTIGATOR AND TRAINING DIRECTOR FOR Florida MUFON: If you are interested in becoming a MUFON Investigator, I would suggest you first read the new manual from cover to cover, decide if you really want to pursue it, and, write down any questions you may have prior to taking the test. My name is Denise Stoner, the Chief Investigator for the State of Florida and the person who will be training you as soon as you pass your exam. It only makes sense to me that you may have questions regarding anything you have read in your manual or places you can go to gain more information for your test. No, I won't give away any answers, those are for you to discover.
